Abstract:

DETAILS: School Profile: 540 students in grades: Pre-K-2; Demographics: Urban, Title I, Free/reduced lunch: 56%, Mobility: 38.4%; Race/Ethnicity: Black or African American: 30%, White: 70%.

RESULTS: After implementing Accelerated Reader with best practices, students demonstrated steady increases in reading over 5 years on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills.
