Arizona Elementary School Demonstrates Long-Term Growth on SAT 9

DETAILS: School Profile: 550 students in grades K-6; Demographics: Urban, Limited English Proficiency: 12%, Free or Reduced Lunch: 30%, Mobility: 54%; Race/Ethnicity: Hispanic or Latino: 18%, Black or African American: 4%, Asian or Pacific Islander: 5%, American Indian or Alaska Native: 2%, White: 71%.
RESULTS: After using Accelerated Reader with best practices and Perfect Copy, the average Stanford 9 (SAT-9) reading score increased 6 percentile points double the average increase experienced by the state. The average language arts score rose 7 percentile points, while state scores increased by only 4 percentile points.
